Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Service Director to lead a Biomedical and Imaging Engineering service operation in Eastern Nebraska.

This is a senior leadership position responsible for managing biomedical and imaging engineering teams, overseeing day-to-day service delivery and ensuring high standards of operational performance and customer support.

The successful candidate should have a strong background within medical equipment services, with previous hands-on engineering experience and/or management experience within Biomedical or Medical Imaging Engineering.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage Biomedical and Imaging Engineering teams.

• Oversee day-to-day biomedical and imaging equipment service operations.

• Manage engineering workloads, service priorities and team performance.

• Provide technical guidance and support to engineers when required.

• Ensure preventative maintenance and repair activities are completed effectively.

• Develop, coach and support engineers across the team.

• Maintain high standards of service quality, documentation and compliance.

• Support staffing, onboarding and employee development.

• Build strong relationships with internal teams and customer stakeholders.

• Monitor service performance and identify opportunities for improvement.

• Support budgeting, resource planning and equipment lifecycle requirements.

• Coordinate with external service providers and equipment manufacturers where required.

• Drive continuous improvement across service delivery and team performance.

Experience & Requirements

• Previous hands-on engineering and/or management experience within Biomedical or Medical Imaging Engineering.

• Strong understanding of medical equipment service, maintenance and repair.

• Experience leading engineers, technicians or technical service teams would be highly advantageous.

• Experience within a hospital, healthcare technology or medical equipment service environment.

• Strong leadership and people-management capabilities.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities within a technical service environment.

• Experience across both biomedical and imaging equipment would be advantageous.
