Hi, I'm Sam O’Leary, Director and Co-founder of nGenium, a recruitment agency specialising in medical engineering, laboratory technology, and scientific instrumentation. With 15 years in recruitment, I've led successful teams in various sectors. My role involves managing the business and developing relationships with clients. I believe in leading by example and encouraging teamwork and creativity. We focus on industries that improve lives through technology, I'm passionate about our markets and love what I do. My aim for nGenium is to be the top recruitment agency in our fields. Outside work, I enjoy golf, football, and spending time with loved ones.

Hi, I’m Nathan Upton, Director of nGenium. After graduating from University I decided to pursue a career in recruitment. My 16 years in recruitment started as a trainee consultant in 2008 and progressed to Senior then principal consultant before moving into a management position. In 2019, an opportunity presented itself to set up a new recruitment company, specialising in Embedded Software & Electronics. Having already had 7 years experience in the market decided to take the plunge of starting a business of my own. One of the main attractions was being able to use my previous experience to build a company from the ground up that I could be proud of. I pride myself on being honest, open and hardworking which has allowed me develop a large number of strong business relationships throughout my career. Outside of the office I like to spend a lot of time with my friends and family. I am also keen sportsman and like to spend as much of my free time on the golf course as possible (mainly missing putts).

Hi, I’m Nathan Read, a specialist Recruitment Consultant for laboratory tech organisations at nGenium. Stemming from my passion for sales, business and competition, recruitment was a perfect career for me. I am a numbers driven person, always seeking ways to improve my skills and performance. Outside of recruitment I have many pursuits I am driven in, namely improving my skills as a mixed martial artist and improving fitness at the gym, training around 8 sessions per week.

Hi, I’m Alan, and I’m excited to share a bit about myself. I recently graduated with a First-Class Honours Degree in Marketing, and during my time at university, I developed a keen interest in sales, especially in recruitment. With nearly two years of experience, I specialize as a Medical Devices/Imaging Specialist, focusing on connecting talented professionals with opportunities in both the US and the UK at nGenium. I’m competitive by nature and have a strong passion for learning and personal growth. I view each day as a chance to expand my knowledge and skills. Outside of work, I enjoy playing the piano, watching a good Netflix series, solving puzzles, keeping up with the latest in combat sports, and exploring investment opportunities. Hi, I'm Jowell Grandison, a Recruitment Consultant at nGenium. After finishing college, I found myself unsure about my career path. Discovering recruitment was a turning point for me—I was immediately drawn to it. Joining nGenium allowed me to start my journey as a recruitment consultant, and I've enjoyed every moment since. My focus is on Diagnostic Imaging recruitment across the USA, with the goal of becoming the go-to recruiter in this field. Known for my humour and approachability, I bring a strong drive to excel in everything I do. I thrive in challenging environments, constantly pushing myself to achieve excellence. Outside of work, I’m a big football enthusiast. Whether it’s playing or watching a match, football keeps me energised and balanced in my spare time. I am known to be funny, and friendly but also very driven, I strive to be the best I can every day because I feel like those who work hard seek the rewards. I thrive under pressure and what better environment could that possibly be? I am driven to improve my skills and understanding in recruitment because this is a career, I see myself in for the rest of my life.
